Amazon India Fashion Week stood tall to its claims of #IndianModern by dedicating the first two days to all things India. The start of the show was Road to Chanderi, where 16 designers came together in palettes of cream and gold.
Unlike last year, when everyone was going crazy about Banarasi weaves, this year was about Chanderi which originally avails from Madhya Pradesh. Here are some of my favourite ensembles: the best being the black lehenga on Aditi Rao Hydari designed by Sanjay Garg from Raw Mango.
Let’s hope I see lesser aunties lit up in embellishments that make my retinas pop, and more in Chanderi silks and cottons.
