[vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This is hardly news: most of us are shopping online. For almost everything. Jeans. Dresses. Tops. Anarkalis. Electronics. Shoes. Even groceries for some of us (I am not there yet).
So I thought I’d tell you my experience of shopping at Jabong an online fashion portal, that has made its mark over the last few years. Well if you’ve been following the blog, you’d know we just did 3 posts showcasing Jabong’s SS 2015.
Anyway, I was browsing through the collection, not looking to spend more than a 1000 bucks.
And, seeing that I own more dresses than jeans, I am always on the lookout for comfortable yet trendy dresses all the time.

Shopping on Jabong.com
One of the brands that really struck a chord with me is Miss Bennett London. It’s feminine, classy and easy on the pocket.
So I ended up buying a mint hued halter dress that I got on a discount, thanks to the Dress Carnival collection on Jabong.com.
I also didn’t realize this until recently, but I like collecting bags from time to time. Which is ironic since I don’t change my bags according to what I wear. But anyway.
I was struck by the sheer cuteness of a very small handbag/clutch from Cherokee in mauve (they have other shades too). And the site offered me a special offer on that too: somethings are always good to hear, I guess!

So thanks to the ongoing offers that the e-commerce portal had to offer, I could stay withing my budget. The website says it takes about a week to deliver the goods but it was a pleasant surprise when I got the package in 2 days.
While this wasn’t an urgent order, I’d really like to see Jabong (and other e-comm portals) to have an option wherein you can get orders on the same day or within 1 day if it’s an emergency (for example, forgetting it’s Fathers’ Day or your anniversary). Of course, they can charge extra like they do on COD.
Nothing fancy but functional: the dress and the bag made it home without any cuts or bruises.
But that’s where I can see the portal putting in an effort. I feel it’s the little things that make a huge difference and packaging matters (you know I am a beauty and lifestyle writer, right?). I would have loved to see a coloured cardboard box or better yet, eco-friendly, recycled paper or just a potli made of a polyester blend. Maybe they can look at this service for those who spend a specific amount to start with (Rs 2,000 upwards), maybe not. But it adds that X factor to a brand that serves as a point of recollection in your head.
Enough said! So, I tried on the dress and took a picture of the bag too. Wanna see?

The dress is really comfortable, and the fabric complements Indian summers. The clutch is really tiny and cute: just perfect for days where I don’t wanna carry my whole world.
