Join us as we appreciate Deborah Milano’s edit with photos and discussing first impressions, ingredients and prices of Deborah Milano Iconic Smokey Eyeshadow Quad and Milano Red Lipstick Collection.
One of my all time, favourite beauty brands (and I am not getting paid to say this) is back in my life. I recently got my hands on a few products from this iconic, yet affordable, Italian makeup brand.
This is a smokey eyeshadow pallette Number 1 in Bronze.
Packaging: Not very classy but sturdy, has enough colour in it to last for about 2-3 years even if you use it everyday.
What does it have? It has a base colour, defining colour, main colour, additional hue to personalise it and the last to illuminate your look.
What does it not have? A sturdy brush. You obviously need proper eye makeup brushes to do this. I use BS Mall and MAC 217 if I ever attempt anything related to eyeshadows.
Texture: The Deborah Milano Eyeshadow Quads are powder based shadows but have magnesium carbonate and micronised talc which promise intensity without clumps. As you can see, they have a bit of shimmer in it but not too much when you apply.
Price: Rs 850. It’s safe to use, and is super affordable. Stay tuned to our Instagram this week for an impromptu eyeshadow trial.
Next come the lipsticks, number 17, 20, 31.
17 is a lighter shade, interspersed with pink and brown.
20 is a deeper shade of red, almost marsala.
31 is Deborah Milano’s iconic shade and is, for boss babes.
Packaging: It’s pretty sturdy, the gold tubes are beautiful but not very different from what you see amongst other brands. I like the brand embossing on the lipstick though.
Texture: Creamy. Use with a lipstick brush for more intensity.
Formula: I’m not sure about the ingredients, but I do know it has SPF, which is something you don’t find in most brands. The other ingredient they use is hyaluronic acid (which basically adds a plumping effect), something Estee Lauder charges Rs 2200 for. Just a little perspective there.
Price: Rs 695.
