February Favourites

Hey, Guys! After January Favorites were much loved, we are back with our picks for February Favorites curated by me in Basel this time!

February is a month of love, and what I love about February is the end of season sales and a hint of spring. I love that the temperatures are finally above 0 degrees and I love that I got to pick up some nice stuff during the sale season. If you are in this part of the world, and you end up liking what you will see in this post then I suggest you head to Zalando, Orsay, H&M and Mango to shop essentials. Coming back to our favorites, we have divided it into fashion, skincare, and nails.

Pragati’s February Must Haves!

February Recommendations – Fashion

Things in Switzerland are expensive: not just for me, but for locals too. While that’s a fact another one is that the quality of anything that you buy – is almost always top notch. I don’t know if you can call it value for money but for all the expats out there – “don’t convert to your native currencies and trust me when I say this quality over quantity.”

#1 Pant Suit From Orsay

In the above picture, you see the pantsuit that I bought from Orsay.
It was a steal and no, I did not but it from Germany: I bought it Basel from CHF 65 which is a steal when compared to Swiss standards.

#2 Pin Striped Shirt, and Shoes H&M

I bought this shirt from my favorite brand, H&M. Everyone needs a basic pin-striped shirt. I love the versatility because it can be worn casually with jeans or formally with trousers. These booties were again a big steal from H&M at a discounted price of just 20 CHF. Since it’s still cold in Basel (and all of Switzerland), these are super helpful on days when the temperature is below zero.

#3 Necklace via Mango and nude-hued watch from Sekonda

Fashion weeks around the world are still on chokers. Instead of plain bands, adding drop pendants like in this one, makes a long more feminine. This one is from Mango and cost me 15 EUR.

The watch is from UK brand called Sekonda, I bought this on an airplane again at a fantastic discount.

Style tip: Teaming nude basic watches with thin gold/rose bracelets creates a classier overall look.

#4 Boho chic neckpiece from Misako

One of my favorite accessories of the month has to be this statement neck piece that I picked up from Misako during our travels for 25 EUR. I do think I wear it too often!

February Recommendations – Beauty

#5 Garnier Oil Beauty

My beauty pick of the month has to be the oil-based body scrub/wash from Garnier. Oil/cream based body washes are a must have for the winter season to keep the skin moisturized and hydrated.

#5 Essence Nail Lacquer

I am in love with the cosmetic brand Essence which is available all over Switzerland. They offer the best shades in these gel based nail polish bottles for CHF 4.

The lipstick shade works perfect for daily day wear, it is neither over the top nor is it invisible

I have always worn darker shades of lipsticks that compliment my skin and I was happy to add – Be Berry from Catrice and Milano Red from Deborah Milano to my collection. Be sure to check out these products and brands in stores and if you’re an online shopper then Zalando might be worth looking at. While they are borderline expensive, they do have sales and some great stuff to brag about.
