I am always up to discuss and diffuse myths, given there are so many in my industry around skincare. And I couldn’t be more excited that shaving, that was a taboo in the 90s, was up for a round of discussion at Gillette Venus’ Event in Delhi with actor Kriti Sanon, makeup artist Namrata Soni and cosmetic physician Dr Rashmi Shetty.
I find shaving to be one of the most convenient and pain-free methods for smooth and sexy legs. And be it through my write-ups here at #beforbeauty or other mediums, I have tried to bust as many myths around shaving.
Actor Kriti Sanon agrees with me, and said that most of us women, simply need to know the right technique of shaving to get the best of it.
Having worked with Dr Shetty in my days of Prevention magazine, I found it to be no surprise when she said “I am pleased to be part of this educative session, where I can interact with the audience and break the age old myths around shaving for women. ” It was an absolute delight to see makeup maven, Namrata Soni known for Sonam Kapoor’s trendy looks, to speak up and talk about how shaving is safe and an easy hair removal method.
The rest of the session was spent in an informal interaction with the media and bloggers.
The reason why I liked this event was because I like the product. I have been using the razor for about 1.5 years now and I’d like to tell you that it’s got a good grip so it doesn’t slide out of your hands. It’s also got 3 curved blades so there are fewer chances of missing out hair growth.
Over the next few weeks, we are going to #subscribetosmooth by talking about shaving with Gillette, various problems a woman faces while shaving and of course, the myth about whether shaving has an effect on skin and hair texture.
