Hi guys! Today I’m going to talk an interior spaces and aesthetics! Asian Paints in collaboration with Production Designer and Art Director, Shruti Gupte organized a bloggers’ meet and greet in their signature store in Connaught Place.
I think it’s a fabulous way of celebrating #WorldInteriorsDay to discuss, collaborate and ideate to make your home/workspace, an extension of your personality.
What happened at the event
The theme of the event was “From the Silver Screen to your home”. This beautifully designed store at Connaught Place, Delhi invites customers and consumers to share what inspires them. It could be a wallpaper theme they found on Pinterest, a particular look from a film or even a restaurant you ate at.
To tell you about Shruti Gupte, she has been working in this industry for a decade and has worked on print and ad campaigns as well as full length feature films. my favourites being Aisha, Khoobsurat and Lunchbox.
Home Decor and Aesthetics
The idea is to add personality, ideas and colours to their homes the unique opportunity to bring to their homes, the look and feel that they love. And I agree. I feel my room is my everything: my work space, my haven, the place my friends and family hang out. And this past year has all been about making little tweaks: I created a photo wall above my bed, got a new wooden table, and made DIY wine bottom lamps with twinkle lights. So you can only imagine how happy I was to hear more about this venture.

Here are a few tips shared at the event:
-Don’t hold yourself back when it comes to colors and textures. Choose according to your liking–in fact, Shruti encourages distinct colours and patterns in every room.
-Our personal and professional environments are an extension of our personality and should inspire our days, help create memories or convey our aspirations, said Shruti. I completely agree. Just like reading a good quote can help lift your day, a good workspace/ living room can make for better days.
-Another point that Shruti made was, lighting is an crucial to aesthetics as the colours, textures and furniture. I completely agree and I am currently working on a lighting project in my room. Remember, mild yellow lighting brings in a lot of warmth and helps generate good vibes.

The Moodboard
As a motivation exercise, all bloggers were told to make their own moodboards: an amalgamation of colours, inspirational photos, decor pieces and more. This can help ideate and brainstorm to transform your interiors.
