Florals and floral prints are going strong in SS 2016 too! Fashion designers, style icons and high streets have agreed to the same. So I thought it’ll be best to up my floral print game and head to one of most frequented stores for shopping, Jabong (I’m not getting paid to say this!)
This floral dress has a blue base whereas the actual floral print is done with white! Shopped from Jabong, this dress is from Lara Karen and is very affordable. To browse through Dresses From Lara Karen, click here.
Colour: Snorkel blue and Limpet Shell are both high on Pantone’s colors of the year, so this dress can serve as a staple floral dress in your closet.
Fit: Since I’m pear shaped now (heavier on the bottom part of my body), I look for skater and jacquard dresses. These have a different silhouette from a shift dress or a body con dress. In fact, they play with panels, pleats and color blocking that help you avoid looking bigger than you are. However, if you’re really thin or don’t have much of a booty, chances are you may look a bit skinnier.
Styling: I decided to keep my shoes and bag to a similar, classic color tone of black.
These open toe, lace up heels are from Vanilla Moon (Follow them on Instagram and Facebook), and lend a sophisticated yet grungy look–especially when paired by spike shoulder bag that my sister and Be For Beauty’s co-founder, Pragati Siddhanti picked up from London. My sunglasses are from an online store (I sincerely forget which one) but you can find them easily! So like I said, everything doesn’t have to be new. You can combine your wardrobe staples along with something new to get a look you like.
About Lara Karen: I shopped a couple of things from Lara Karen a few months (a pair of white trousers and a couple of tees) and found the brand to be reliable in terms of quality and design. It’s super affordable and can be found on Jabong.com.
