[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It’s the middle of the month and frankly, sometimes it’s difficult to do anything till the sun comes up.
So if you, like me, are feeling lazy, you need good products for skin and hair which do most of the talking.
My hair
So thanks to all the colouring and the straightening over a decade, my hair has a very moody personality. It could look dry or frizzy despite a scalp massage or using a hair mask–which is why I am always on the lookout for a good serum. While I have found 2 serums that suit my hair, I tried a new one.
Livon’s Moroccan Oil Silk Serum
Enter Livon’s new serum, this is what it looks like.
[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1946″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Minimalist packaging, the pink-hued bottle promises to be made of Moroccan Oil OR Argan Oil.
Note to self: Moroccan and Argan Oil are the same thing.
What I made of it
I usually look for three things in a serum: the ability to soften hair, reducing frizz and if the serum comes in-handy for for a scalp massage.
So I used it over the last few weeks and this is what I found.
- It will tame your hair, but not instantly. You’ve to use it thoroughly on the strands (I’d suggest from mid-length to the ends) and wait for a while for your hair to be frizz-free.
- Serums are obviously lightweight but heavy in moisturizing your hair. What I like about a few, selective serums is that 2-3 pumps are enough for you to get your strands smooth and silky. But on usage, I realised I need about 4 to 6 pumps of this serum, to feel the texture I am happy with.
- The only reason I’d ever opt for a serum for a scalp massage instead of an oil is because it’s a combination of 3-4 oils which is not the case here. Plus like I said, you’d have to use a lot of pumps of this serum to be thorough with a scalp massage. The plus point: Rs 259 for 59 ml, so it’s not heavy on the pocket.
The final word
It’s very relative as to what’s going to suit your hair. Livon is one of the first brands in India to ever introduce a hair serum, so my suggestion is you try it and see what you make of it. As for me, it’s gonna be a go-to product for cutting out frizz.
