We just covered tips to make your skin look younger; today we’re going to share a few tips on makeup that can make you look more youthful.
Base it well – treat your skin as a canvas that cannot bring out a good picture without a smooth surface. Hydration should be the first step to start your with makeup says celebrity makeup artist Anu Kaushik. A good moisturized skin helps the makeup look neat and stay longer. Start by using a good amount of Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Ageing Day Cream with a Touch Of Foundation SPF15, 50g on face and neck.

Prime your skin: Chances are you have a bag around the eye and maybe some fine lines. The best way to conceal these is to use a good primer with SPF. A good primer not only has a bit of tint but reduces oil. So I use some specifically on my T-zone. My favourites are Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer SPF and Makeup Revolution Ultra Face Base Primer, 25ml. Use clean fingers or a sponge like Real Techniques 2 Pack Miracle Complexion Sponge
. PS: Many women do it after applying their foundation but as a blogger, I recommend doing this pre-base, just after applying a moisturizer.

Ace your base: Take a very small sized amount of foundation on the top of your hand and blend it upwards. Start with the center of your face, move towards the forehead and finish at the chin. Remember, the idea is for the makeup to look “natural” so don’t overuse it. Use a good foundation brush like real Techniques Foundation Brush or Vega Foundation Brush with Wooden Handle and Natural Animal/Synthetic Hair
to blend a liquid foundation like ZA True Liquid Foundation or a CC cream like Lakme Complexion Care Cream, 30ml
.
Use concealer after your foundation: I used to make the mistake of applying a concealer before the base. You should dab some after, especially under the eyes, nose and chin. If you have any other marks, you should make sure they’re covered.

To get fuller and plump lips is important for every age. But as you age, your lip line can start to decolour. Using a lip pencil correctly not only defines the lips but gives them volume and boost to the staying power of your lipstick. Use neutral liners, regardless of the lip colour. Apply brighter shades for daywear and deeper shades in the evenings to lift up your face and skin tone. I recommend Maybelline Color Show Lipstick, Ruby Twilight, 208 3.9gm and Lakme Enrich Satins Lip Color, Shade P128, 4.3g
.

Accentuate the jawline: Add some colour and depth on your cheeks by using a rosy hue (not too bright, not too pale) . Use different shades to create dimension by using bronzer on the forehead, nose and chin and contouring your face. You can use Maybelline Fit Me!, Bronzer Medium Bronze, 4g and Make Up Revolution London Highlighter Golden Lights, 7.5g
along with Maybelline Dream Touch Blush 07, Plum, 7.5gm
.
