[vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This month, as a part of our special ‘Summer Cool’, we decide to feature SEVEN of the freshest and classy nail art trends with experts from Imperial Hotel, Delhi.
The intent was simple. To de-code some great palettes, try my hands at global ramp trends, and not losing my vision, while doing so. Each of these curated looks are a take on popular trends like pastels, gold and glitter, stickers, and bright colours. Our idea was to bring a sense of elegance and creativity at the best, and we believe that our touted experts Hayley Louise Dack, Director, Imperial Spa and Salon and nail artist Harsha Rawat, did just that.
We used Bio Sculpture Range in this series, and I am happy to say that it’s one of the stable, long-lasting nail polish brands in the world.
It’s very important you make sure your nails are clean, buffed and filed before you start any nail tutorial. She also used sanitizers as well as a cuticle oil for healthy, strong nails. If you’re big on nail art at home, I suggest you buy basics like nail hardeners, cuticle cream and oils to make sure you do it right.

Marsala and Graphic Motifs:
If you type graphic nails on Pinterest, you’re gonna find tons of geometric shapes, but off late, artists have been going heavy on graphic motifs. These could be as banal as a triangle or as abstract as the Vitruvian Man. In this look by Be For Beauty and Imperial Salon, we tried to club 2 trends: graphic motifs on the base of marsala. Marsala is the colour of the year and we thought we could use it as the background for Harsha’s artsy side to flourish. I didn’t really give her a brief on the kind of motifs I wanted. Instead, I just let her draw what came to her mind.

- Start by applying a base coat: since this shade is darker than what we usually use in summer, you may want to avoid staining your nails.
- The shade we use, comes CLOSE to Marsala, and is called Ravishing Ruby from The Red Collection. If you’re in love with Marsala, we suggest you use the exact shade, but in a glossy or natural finish (no mattes please).
- Next, Harsha used Golden Silver from Dark Blues, Greys and Blacks Collection with the help of a small brush. You can pick any silver shade with shimmer or glitter in it.
- From diamonds to triangles and distorted squares, you can try anything you like.
- Remember, you should also experiment with the positioning: some can be drawn on the side, center and on the upper edge as per your aesthetics.
I think it was a good effort to combine two trends that are hugely popular right now. Again, I wish my nails were not square-shaped. I think oval or round shaped nails can lend more elegance to it. Do try this look with nudes, blacks and whites and let your imagination do the rest![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1499″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]
About Bio Sculpture
One of the differential factors that make Bio Sculpture a touted brand is because it is the ONLY brand to have undergone an independent clinical trial and to have received a 5 star safety rating. The spa collection (can be used at home) has a variety of collections, and each of these pigments lasts for about 10 days (without fading). On the plus side, the spa collection contains botanicals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. With a highly trained staff, the Imperial Salon is a great place to try The Bio Sculpture Gel Range. The coating is flexible, protects and conditions your nails and lasts for about 3 weeks. All nail polishes are toluene free, DBP and formaldehyde free.
About Hayley Louis Dack
Highly experienced in holistic therapies, medi spa, Ayurveda and water therapies, Ms Dack is an expert in wellness. She has about three decades of experience in holistic regimes having been trained in Australia and travelled to many parts of the world. Be For Beauty had the fortune of meeting and interacting with Ms Dack in our spa special back in December 2014. In this special, she was very patient in listening to my concept and ensured that we got the best.
One of my favourite places in the city, Imperial Salon is open to all guests who appreciate luxury and service. Be it pedicures, facials, hair spas or bridal make-up, the staff is so well trained that every experience at the Salon is bright and indulgent.
