First of all, this is a very late post, I got this in the beginning of summer, but I was very caught up with work. First of all, check out the one-of-a kind product, BRAUN Face Epilator and Cleansing Brush. The brand has been synonymous with it’s body epilator better known as Silk-epil.
When you buy a Braun Face 2 in 1 Epilator and Cleansing Brush you get: 2 detachable heads (epilator and microexfoliating brush), a battery and a cleansing brush. It’s pretty easy to use, open the bottom half of the device with a coin; insert the battery and you’re good to go.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1406″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Facial hair, amongst Indian women can be a bit of a touchy topic. I should know, I am a light skinned Sindhi with jet black hair. I personally think this is something very subjective: some of us have peach fuzz, others have mini beards and a few have NO hair on their body!
Back in school, I remember a lot of girls started threading early. My sister ended up threading and then the hair texture changed so she had to stick to it, or get a katori wax for her upper lip area. So this COULD be another option for you.
Also, given the fact that it’s summers here in India, and the temperature is 42 degrees as I type, it’s a miracle for a woman to wear any makeup in this weather. This 2-in-1 product could definitely help get clearer skin, let’s see how.

How to use: There is only one button. If you push it towards the left, the tweezers/blade move towards the left horizontally and the same for the right side. I think this is a smart idea so as to not mess up the direction of your hair.
Where can you use it? : forehead, upper lip, chin, side of your cheeks and in the middle of your eyebrows (very carefully). The box says you can use it to groom your brows but please don’t think it’s ok to thread your eyebrows: this has disaster written all over it.
My experience: Well, I used to care about body hair as a teenager but the more I became my own person, the lesser I care about it. Plus, a red face is a total downer! That’s right, my face is very sensitive, so much so that sometimes I have to ask my facialist to reduce the pressure during a facial massage.
I tried the Braun Face Epilator on my upper lip, and yes, it hurt. The trick is to power through and a bit fast (faster than shaving), and coming back a second time to check if you have left any hair. On the pain meter, I would give it a 7 on 10. But that’s the same I’d give for threading.
After effects: My skin did go red after using it, and I think Scherazade Shroff faced the same problem, so like her, I suggest you do it a few hours before you have to head it, or you epilate a night before, sleep on it, and wake up to calm skin. Also please clean the epilator head with the brush that comes in the kit to maintain hygiene.
Last word: The product is really good, and is once-in-many-years expense in comparison to your monthly salon visits. It’s cute, it’s compact and if you travel frequently, this may be a good pick for you. A lot of us who have been waxing all our lives, find the pain of using an epilator, UNBEARABLE. So I suggest you go to a store and try it once, see if it’s your cup of tea and then buy it. If you spend a lot on waxing your body and our comfortable with the feel of the epilator, then you should go for it. It’s much more convenient so I suggest that everybody tries it![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1407″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Now comes the second attachment,
I think brushing your face/body is a great way to clear clogged pores, get the dirt off and just massaging your face. A face massage, with your hands or any brush, regulates blood circulation and that is ALWAYS good for the skin.
How to use: I prefer to use it wet with a facewash, scrub or even a face pack. Just massage it in circular motions for just about a minute and you’re sorted.
Where can you use it?: Face and neck
My experience: The effect is instantaneous! My skin looks brighter, clearer after using the exfoliating brush! Only thing that I gotta warn you about is don’t use it everyday. I think I got super excited and I used it twice a day and you know that anything in excess is not good.
After effects: Awesome, glowing skin.
Last word: Facebrushing is going to be huge in India. If done right, it can be a huge boost for your skin.
Price: Rs 4,900.
