You know I love La Roche Posay and was super happy about SeroZinc coming to India: a facial mist for clear, acne-free skin.
About La Roche Posay
La Roche Posay is French skincare brand and prides itself on working with skin experts, researchers, and dermatologists who work relentlessly to bring clinically tested products through their skincare (and hair products). Like Avene and Vichy, they base their concoctions on their iconic spring water.
Apart from their patented spring water, the hero of this product is zinc sulfate which helps get rid of pimples sooner than later. It also has sodium chloride, which is basically a thickening ingredient.
Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory in nature, this is a good product for anybody who is battling unclear skin or faces a lot of acne issues in general.
Fashion week was followed by Diwali week which meant a lot of makeup usage for me. And after using some bleach on it (read about my rant here), my skin is so so so MAD at me. I have been using SeroZinc in both weeks I have faced breakouts. Since it’s a mist, it refreshes your skin. A couple of minutes later, you will that your skin is less oily, and feels cleaner–very similar to using a charcoal product.
How to Use
Along with the mist comes these small patches for you to do a simple skin analysis: normal skin, oily skin or dry skin. This is also useful to figure out where your comedogenic zones at their worst. Here’s a picture of my test. So my nose is obviously the oiliest region of my face (the pinkest one of them all), whereas my cheeks and forehead are normal. And my pimpled chin at present, is going through some issues. So you can actually target your usage to where you need it most and then analyze your skin after using it.
Can it help erase acne scars?
I’m not sure if the same product works for acne scars, but check out La Roche Posay Efflaclar Duo if that’s an issue with you. A lot of younger bloggers who face a lot more acne issues than me have also recommended this product.
