Review: Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba Perfume EDT

Review: Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba Perfume EDT

After loving Bvlgari’s Aqva Divina last year, I was really excited when I got Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba.

A beautiful blue bottle in the shape of a jewel, Omnia Paraiba is a part of Bvlgari’s collection that is inspired by gemstones and includes Crystalline, Coral, Indian Garnet that has been around since 2003.

I got a 40 ml bottle and I could frankly smell it from the packaging itself, which made me more excited about Paraiba. Roundish towards the bottom, the bottle is, (once again,) inspired by jewellery makers and of course, the stone Paraiba itself. It can be found in the Tourmaline of Brazil.

The bottle uses two colours: blue and silver, very tropical and summerish but the bottle is a bit big on dramatics. It’ll definitely be the differentiating factor on your dresser.

First impression

It’s not one of those perfumes that’s going to give you a headache, a concern that a lot of you have. On the contrary, the fruity and floral notes catch up with you in a minute.

Top notes: Bigarade Orange (from Curaçao,Maracuja) and Passion Fruit
Heart notes: Passion flower (Gardenia from Brazil) and Vetiver
Base notes: Cacao beans and Vetiver essence

The first two things I could smell was something citrus and orangey which turned out to a bittersweet orange from Brazil/Paraguay. There was something about the perfume that instantly put me at ease, made things more calm (just like my essential oils) and I later figured that was the Passion Flower. It is apparently proven to be a mild relaxant and helps combat anxiety and irritation.

There is a very subtle hint of cacao beans towards the end and I frankly wish I could smell a bit more of it.

I think it uses native ingredients from Brazil and is a good combination of all these elements, that come together from that part of the world.

The beauty of the perfume is that it does last on your skin as something very subtle, so you’ll probably have to spritz it again after 4-5 hours in a super hot place like New Delhi.

Overall impression

For a regular perfume wearer, like me, here’s what you need to know…

First impression: A good hit for the summer, or the daytime when you’re headed to work or chores.
You would love it if: You understand and respect mild to moderate perfumes
Should I pick it up at Duty Free? Sure, a 40 ml bottle of Bvlgari Omnia Paraiba is for Rs 3,300.
It’s not just the perfume, you can check out the Bvgari Omnia Paraiba product line here.
