One of the most rampant brands in my mother’s dresser, I am here to briefly tell you about my experience of applying and using Pond’s Silk Cream.
Packaging:When I say Pond’s to any kid like me, who was growing up in the 1990’s, they instantly imagine the white jar we used everyday. So I was very happy when a white jar of Pond’s Silk Cream grabbed a corner on my dressing table. This happened about 2 weeks ago when the temperature actually started getting higher here, in New Delhi.
Texture: Over the last 15 days, I’ve used this cream on my face, neck and arms and the first you I noticed was the lightness of the formula. It’s slightly thicker than the moisturizer I use but MUCH LIGHTER and oil-free. With a mild fragrance that got my niece to try it on her skin (she was visiting me in Delhi), the face cream is good for day and night.
Formula: I actually couldn’t find much information on the formula of Pond’s Silk Cream but I do know two things: the first would be that it’s super light and tested multiple times, so even if you have sensitive skin, your skin will not break out after using this. The second is that, you can use it under your makeup as a base. I usually don’t apply makeup without dabbing a few dots of face cream ( this cream doesn’t have SPF, by the way).
Pond’s Silk Cream, 55 ml for Rs 99.
And now, here’s my favourite Pond’s ad of all time: this one was the beginning of Googly Woogly Woosh for their cold cream!
