Be it distressed jeans or that vintage jacket in your closet, we know casual chic is the best bet this season.
To keep this mood going, I suggest making the most of the shirt-dress. A great staple for this season, this shirt dress is from 109 F. Now when choosing a shirt dress, keep 3 things in mind:
How To Choose A Shirt Dress
It should have a collar or it’ll literally look like you wore a guy’s shirt. And while that is sexy, it might not always be chic.
The second thing is the length: since I have just gained a few pounds and also turning 30, I am automatically shying away from super short lengths (unless I am locked in my room). You can totally wear this shirt-dress to work and social events if it doesn’t turn too many heads at work.
Solid hued dresses, shirt dresses are classic and will help you look stylish for years to come. White, blue, denim and black are my favourites.
Since this dress was a match on all these ends, I decided to go for it.

The Belt
When I was really thin (this means December 2014), I’d love to show off my figure. So if you’re really slim or athletic, then cinch your waist with a chunky/wider belt (you can buy these locally or online).
If you don’t want any attention on your waistline, then stick to a thin belt. Avoid a belt if you don’t want to give it any shape/tapering and just let it hang, making it very androgynous.

Accessorize it according to your mood
Since it’s all about comfort for me, I decided to ditch a bag and just stick to my all new ankle-length boots. These boots are not too hot and can easily be worn in winters too.

I’d love to wear this solid-hued shirt dress to a music festival like NH7 and hence I loved pairing this dress with feather earrings a friend got from Nagaland. Good old bronze and silver jewellery with a printed scarf would complement this look too.
If I was wearing this to a meeting, I’d pair these with nude sandals and tote bag.
Hope you like this look.
