Shoot Day Selfie: Be For Beauty

Shoot Day Selfie: Be For Beauty

Yesterday was quite a hectic day since I had a half day shoot with about 15 changes.

However, it took me close to an hour to get the makeup right (an hour including distractions!)

Eyes: If you meet me around the Delhi, I’d probably have an eyeliner on or nothing. I used EcoTools Angled Eyeliner brush for more precision (I didn’t have time to make or clean up my mistakes). I used the same brush to fill in my eyebrows (I don’t thread them) and as you probably know the effect is instantaneous. The pencils I used were FACES Eye Pencil in Solid Black and Lancome Khol Hypnose Waterproof Twist Up Eye Pencil in Taupe. I applied two coats of Lancome Mascara (I forget which) in a gap of 30 seconds; that makes me think about actually using a curler I have in my closet or just using lash extensions. I’m just too scared about ripping the few lashes I have while putting or taking these on.

Face: I used three drops of Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate to avoid dryness or flakes after which I used a bit of Dermalogica SkinPerfect Primer on my T-zone. Since I am shooting, I used a mix of 2 ZA Foundations: True White and Liquid Fit on the back of my palm and used my new BS-Mall Face Flat Brush (a friend of mine got it from Seattle) which really helped me blend it evenly. I went a second time on my problem areas like a pimple spot, upper lip and under eye area. I then used 2 brushes: Eco Tools Concealer Brush and BS Mall Tapered Blending Brush to even out my under eye area. I sealed this with M.A.C. Studio Fix Powder and Foundation and applied two spritzes of ZA Total Energy Hydration Mist under my cheekbones ‘coz it looked a bit flaky.

Cheeks: I used the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact I’d bought as a gifting option. This contouring palette was helpful when I trying the baking method of highlighting the under eye area. I also used the bronzey-brown shade to contour and used Maybelline Rosy Cheeks Blush to add some colour to me cheeks. I used FACES Angled Blush Brush and 1-2 blending brushes mentioned above.

Lips: I kept it very simple since I had to keep changing my lipstick during the shoot. I used my Inglot Lip Brush to apply a layer of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Impasssioned, number 330 and used a layer or Ulta Lipstick in Mulberry Creme.
