Howdy!
Today, we will be reviewing this coconut-based brightening cream by Biotique!
About The Brand
An Indian brand whose green bottles have been in our homes for 25 years, Biotique claims to go the natural way. Not only do they follow Ayurvedic formulations, the brand is also wary of animal testing—a plus point for us! We have also tried their Biotique Body Massage Oil and Biotique BXL Cellular Rehydrating Scrub.
Ingredients
Very light on texture, and your skin, the cream is a concoction of pure virgin coconut, dandelion, and manjishtha. Some of our favorites like coconut water, dudhal, nimba kamla, badam tail definitely attracted me. These natural ingredients will be gentler on your skin for sure.
Usage And My Experience
Apply this cream on face and neck once a day (although the package recommends twice a day). You can concentrate more on dark spots or acne scars that need to be lightened.
The first thing that convinced me to at least give it a try was the fact that it’s natural. The cream’s fragrance took me back to my childhood when my mother used to apply coconut oil on my face.
When I applied the cream, it was light on the skin and unlike other whitening creams, it didn’t make a separate layer all over my face. It merged so easily and the skin looked naturally brighter.
The cream moisturized my face quite well. My skin type is excruciatingly dry but that day it felt quite soft and I knew it was working!
Would I recommend it to others?
Personally, I don’t use whitening creams (we at Be For Beauty appreciate all skin tones!). But since this is a brightening cream, I’d suggest it to anybody who’d like a little more moisture for dry skin!
However, for those who don’t have the skin type too dry should not use it in greater quantity as this one is oily and hence can absorb dust easily if your skin doesn’t absorb it well!
