Hey, guys! Today we’re going to indulge in some period talk with Whisper India who has just launched their new Ultra Soft Sanitary Napkins.
Periods can be a Pain
While most of us were fortunate enough to get our first sanitary napkin back in school, a lot of us are still battling through taboos in their own houses and communities. I’d be happy to share that both my mother and I have managed to change the mindsets of at least 10 women who have worked in our colony. While this is a very small step, brands like Whisper have always been at the forefront of discussion.
While you can do a few things to curb cramps, I don’t like to stop my life for it.
Packaging and First Look: Whisper Ultra Soft
As the name suggests, this line of pads is specifically meant to tackle rashes, irritation, and discomfort that we undergo while we’re on our period. I got a beautiful and thoughtful package from Whisper which had everything to take the day off and get comfortable in your own skin: Whisper Ultra Soft, cotton swabs, hand towel, wrist band, and an eye mask for undisturbed sleep.
At first look, the packaging uses pink (not everybody relates to pink) but the overall look and feel are floral and aesthetically pleasing. A regular sized pack has 7 pads for Rs 64. 7 pads may be just the right number for anyone who has a 3-day period but since I have 5-day periods, I sometimes use more than 7 since I change pads frequently to avoid rashes or UTIs.
Whisper Ultra Soft: Usage and Application
The care package came to me at the right time, if you know what I mean.
I was happy to find that the pads are higher on comfort, thanks to a double cotton layering. The second thing is that I found appealing was, of course, the absorption. The inner gel core actually worked and actually reducing the chances of staining.
Who should use it?
Anybody over the age of 12 who uses sanitary pads/napkins.
Before I sign off, here are a few things to remember:
- Don’t wear loose underwear during these 3 or 5 days. Choose a comfortable yet snug fit so that the pad doesn’t move.
- Change a sanitary pad every 3-4 hours depending on what you’re doing or your flow too.
- Maintain the pH balance of your vagina: drink cranberry juice if you feel any irritation or discomfort.
- Feel free to talk, discuss, get the help of an expert. This is your body and you should be comfortable with it.
