Valentine’s Day Special: Amante Lingerie Review

Valentine’s Day Special: Amante Lingerie Review

[vc_row full_width=”” parallax=”” parallax_image=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The first week of February has brought with it more sunshine and a feeling of ummm, well, love.
I am a strong believer of loving yourself which is why I think V-Day month, in particular, is the perfect time to indulge.

Plus with the retail industry giving us so many options, why stop yourself?

Love your body

Indulging in your favorite dessert, giving into the temptation of fried fritters and binging on junk food: there’s so much that an average woman does to her body on an average day. But we know you try to make it up by a share of fruits, some exercise and lots of green tea. So take this time to spoil yourself.

How?

Let’s start with some feel-good lingerie. Understated and under-rated in our mothers’ times, it’s a well-known fact that you wear on the inside, determines what you feel, on the outside.

And with V-Day and 50 Shades of Grey releasing this month, I’d say it’s a great time to get in touch, with your femininity.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2029″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_large=”” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]

What you see:

Amante’s Sheer Robe and Babydoll Slip

Fabric Composition:

75% Polyester, 25% Polyamide

Colour:

Peach/Powder Pink

Look and Feel:

Well, when I first I opened the well-packaged box, I thought I deserved it– just for– keeping up with my life. Looking at the babydoll slip and robe, I thought this is one of the safest, yet must-have designs that a woman could have in her closet.

Soft pink and lace are a classic, elegant combination. Be it a special night with your partner, or just a ‘me’ night, beautiful embroidery and touch of something so soft makes you feel so good.

Comfort:

I tried on a SMALL size which would be perfect for 30-32 cupped girls. While I come on the side of tall girls’ this babydoll lingerie could only cover half of my thighs. Ideally I would have liked it to be about 2 inches longer.

Front and back: A deep neck and a triangular finish on the top could reveal a hint of cleavage. So if you’re big busted, you should probably try it and make sure you’re comfortable with what you see. And show. As for the back, it’s really pretty with traces of lace at the back too. Only thing is you can’t really bend etc. without feeling a bit conscious, which is where the robe comes to the rescue.

The best part: the lace trim on the border and back of the slip

About the robe: Longer than the slip underneath, the robe is made with the same, subtle sensuality as the babydoll is. It’s got side strings to avoid shuffling (you know, when you’re talking to someone and strictly mean business) as well as the satin belt to keep you warm and comfortable. The sleeves are made from lace, which can prove to be really cute 🙂

How to style it:

I decided to go with pearls since it’s a no-brainer with lace. Trinkets like a gold pendant, a thin bracelet and stud earrings would look great with this. This really is time for your skin to shine to exfoliate it with a body scrub and top that up with body butter that leaves your skin feeling soft. You can open your hair, tie a messy bun.

Don’t do too much make-up, you can just wear a hint of lipstick on your pretty pout and a natural blush.

Things that could have been better: I’d hoped the brand would offer a bra and panty/thong option with this to make most of the ensemble. Also, I wished that, the fabric, which is a great blend and feels really soft, had some satin to it.

The Final Word:

Well, we know we can’t buy delicates from La Perla or Victoria’s Secret too often but Amante is a great brand to make yourself (and then someone else) feel good about yourself.

Cost: The babydoll slip is for Rs 1,795 and the robe is for Rs 2,295

Where to buy: If you’re interested in picking this up, you can hit the nearest store or go to Amante. Their line is available on Zivame too.
