Valentines’ Day Gifting Guide: Watches for him

Valentines’ Day Gifting Guide: Watches for him

February is officially here and so is the wake for Valentines’ Day. I think a good watch would make for a perfect gift for your boyfriend. Since a watch is something lasts a few years, (sometimes a few decades), it’s best to give it to someone you love: like a boyfriend you’ve been seeing for at least a year, or your fiance–husbands approve it too.

Here are some of my favourites that can delivered to your address in a day.

FOR THE MY-BODY-IS-MY TEMPLE KIND

Fitbit Surge: Has he cut down on the number of drinks? Is he religiously cutting down on carbs and doesn’t skip his running session? Yeah, he’s caught the fit-bug. And it’s a good thing. It’s better to invest in a FitBit (this is the best kind) than a designer watch simply because it’s going to be of more use to him: calorie burn, heart rate, steps in a day (you get the drift.)

FOR THE MINIMALIST KIND

Daniel Klein DK10573-7: Daniel Klein is a Hong Kong based brand and has ended up in almost everybody’s luggage bags when going to-and-fro from South East Asia. I like the analog watch and it’s a huge trend right now.

FOR THE CORPORATE KIND

Fossil Grant Chronograph Fossil has been dominating the watch stands when I was a little girl in school and used to go to Shoppers’ Stop. This one is super suave, has got a dark blue dial (so macho, right?), has got a stainless steel frame and has got a chronograph. Not that I have ever seen a guy dipping into a pool with a watch, this one is water resistant too.

Apple Watch: This is pretty much designed for the ultimate Apple lover (like me, and half of the world!) and is great for work and keeping track of daily activities. From telling you the time, to emails, reminders, SIRI, and your fitness goals, this could pretty much get you in the Guinness Book of Great Gifts.

FOR THE SPORTY KIND

Casio G-Shock GA-120-1ADR: Now, now you don’t have to understand his desire of buying this one. It’s not about how a watch should look elegant or chic. It’s about the resin band, waterproof-ity upto 200 meters and the fact that you can drop it from the third floor that makes it irresistible.
