- Always remove traces of makeup. I don’t care how many drinks you’ve had or what hell your boss gave you, you should get rid of everything that you painted on in the morning. If I’m super super lazy, I just remove my eye makeup because I’ve noticed that even the best of eye liners and mascaras and dry out, fall as flakes and lead to pimples or enlarged pores. If you’re into cream based makeup removers, try L’Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Lip and Eye Make-Up Remover, 125ml, if you like gel then use Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean Make-Up Remover, 70 ml. My mom uses Johnson’s Baby Oil as a makeup remover and she has no breakouts whatsoever! In fact, the Vit E helps.
- Sleep on a satin or silk pillowcase. Their texture softens wrinkles and fine lines because it causes less friction between your skin and the pillowcase. Guess what? It’s better for your hair–lesser tangles and breakage for ya!
3. Lie down on your back. Repeated pressure on the chin can cause fine lines and wrinkles so try to make it a habit to sleep straight. If not keep switching–it’s good for spine support too. Also, avoid puffy eyes by using 2 pillows instead of one. Remember to elevate, sleep straight and sleep well!
4. Moisturize: Use a good cream before you sleep; your hands maybe dry after hours of sitting on laptop and household chores. Since it’s still cold in Delhi, I still use foot cream from time to time but as I grow older, I think I’ll need it more often. The most important of this is moisturizing your face: a cream with retinols, vitamin A and C would be ideal. This would also be the right time to massage a face serum like Phytosil (below) in circular motions for 1 minute before you sleep.
I know it’s easier said than done, but try to let everything go and just hit the bed. Do try out these tips or share your own expertise in the comments’ section. XOXO![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
