With Valentine’s coming up in a few days, I decided to browse Jabong’s Valentine’s Day Store. Since they’ve got great deals, I thought it’s best to share some of my picks with you!
What? The LBD
Ideal for? A cozy dinner, formal dinner party
The Long Black Dress is a classic: I like knee-length dresses and liked the mesh dress from Dorothy Perkins or the bodycon dress http://www.jabong.com/dorothy-perkins-Black-Manipulated-Bodycon-Dress-1930231.html(ideal for those of us with fantastic figures) from the same brand. Add a little shine with stilettoes from Miss Bennett London and a nuetral toned bracelet like this one from Shining Diva.
What: Maxi Dress
Ideal for: Brunch with boyfriend or girlfriends
There is nothing wrong in being single. In fact, being single can teach you the value of your independence and help you enjoy your own company.
Meet your girlfriends for an elaborate brunch in a floral printed maxi dress. If you have plans for a date or a girlfriend, I’d love to wear mustard hued maxi dress from Vero Moda. Pair with small block heels like these from Dune, kitten heels or flats (I love flats!). Don’t forget to grab your sunglasses like these reflectors from Rayban for a photo cram session.
Now that we have sorted out our ensembles for the day and night, it’s time for makeup.
Most of us Indian women don’t step out of the house without smearing some kohl. You can either do a winged eyeliner or draw a line of kohl with Deborah Cosmetics or do a smokey eye with this awesome eyeshadow palette by Makeup Revolution London. Lastly, add some colour to your pout with a rich colour (PS: I love Lakme’s collection these days!) and don’t forget to prep your nails. Foundation is a must but can flatten your features; add some depth by using a blush just below your cheekbones. This shade from Glamcom (apricot) is versatile for both day and night, so win, win!
Wishing you all a very happy Valentine’s Day! Xo!
